Shocking moment car thief rams its owner into a brick wall and smashes door off its hinges while making frantic getaway

This is the shocking moment a car thief rammed the vehicle’s owner into a brick wall and smashed the door of its hinges while making a frantic getaway. 

Dramatic CCTV footage posted on social media seems to show a man in a dark tracksuit opening the door of a black SUV parked in the driveway of the home. 

As he is about to drive away with the vehicle the owner runs towards the car and opens its door in a bid to catch the thug. 

The video then shows the thief speedily reversing and ramming the owner – who is holding onto the car door – into a brick wall. The wall is left in pieces while the man appears to be left in pain with an injured arm.

The owner of the car ends up being rammed into a brick wall when the car reverses out the driveway 

The wall is left in pieces and the owner appears to be injured as he stumbles and limps

The owner of the vehicle can be seen attempting to get up before falling back down again with his injuries. 

The ordeal is understood to have taken place in Doncaster, South Yorkshire on December 6 at about 7pm, The Sun reported. 

At the end of the video, the owner of the car can be seen limping back to his house.
