Major Markets Rebound After FOMC Minutes
Asian stock markets rallied modestly. European stocks are trading higher. The Wall Street Futures are also trading in positive territory. Major stock market benchmarks in the U.S. had closed with gains on Wednesday after the release of the FOMC minutes, despite an apparent willingness by the Fed to brace for more economic pain in order to tame persisting inflation.
The Dollar Index retreated mildly after gains in the two previous sessions. Bond yields jumped amidst fears of a front-loaded interest rate trajectory. Crude Oil prices recovered slightly after sharp losses in the previous two sessions. Gold edged up. Cryptocurrencies extended gains.
