Arthur's second name is one that is sentimental to the family, as not only is it Pippa's father's name but it also belonged to James' younger brother who died in 1999.

The venue, which is located just six miles from where the Middleton siblings grew up, is located on a private estate and boasts gothic stained windows and a stunning embellished alter.

The couple then left the church and headed to their reception in the oldest-surviving Jaguar E-Type.

The party was held at her parents’ £5million home in nearby Bucklebury, Berkshire.

A £100,000 marquee was erected at the Grade II Listed location, as the bride-to-be was determined to keep the rain off her guests.

The guest list included Pippa's royal relatives Kate Middleton, Prince William, their children, Prince Harry, James Mathew's brother and former Made in Chelsea star, Spencer Matthews and Roger Federer.

It is estimated that the wedding cost £250,000 – ten times the UK average.

Who is Pippa's husband James Matthews?

Pippa's husband James Matthews is a British former professional racing driver and hedge fund manager.

He is also the heir to the Scottish feudal title of Laird of Glen Affric.

James is the son of David Matthews who made his fortune in the luxury hotel business – he is the owner of the Eden Rock resort in St Barts, Caribbean.

It was that particular resort that Pippa and James first met and formed a friendship before eventually dating.

His mother is Zimbabwean born artist Jane Matthews.

James also has two brothers, former Made in Chelsea star and husband of Vogue Williams, Spencer Matthews and Michael.

In 1999, the family suffered a tragic loss when Michael died in a mountaineering accident on Mount Everest, hours after becoming the youngest Briton to conquer the peak.

His body was never recovered.

Now, Spencer Matthews has teamed up with Disney+ to film himself trying to find Michael – something he says took months of therapy for him to prepare for.

James also has a half-sister, Nina Mackie, from his father's first marriage to Anita Taylor.

During their childhood, the Matthews brothers split their time split between Caunton Manor, the 18th-century manor house on his family's 30-acre estate in Nottinghamshire and the family's luxury Eden Rock resort.

During his career, Pippa's husband was a racing driver competing in series such as the British Formula 3 Championship.

He also won a record number of 11 rounds on his way to the British Formula Renault Championship title in 1994 for Manor Motorsport and won the Eurocup Formula Renault in the same year.

Just a year later, in 1995, Matthews became a City of London trader.

Then, in 2001, he became the co-founder of Eden Rock Capital Management – a company which he is now the Chief Executive of.
