Girl, 12, sexually assaulted in swimming pool & friend spoken to inappropriately – as cops hunt man | The Sun

A 12-year-old has reportedly been sexually assaulted in a swimming pool and police are hunting for the alleged attacker.

The assault took place between 12.30pm and 1pm on February 11 at Leicester Leys Leisure Centre in Beaumont Leys when a man is said to have approached a girl in the pool.

The youngster claims that as the man swam past her, he pulled her bikini bottoms away from her body.

It is also believed that the man spoke to the victim’s friend, who was also at the pool, in a sexual manner.

Detective Constable Thomas Radley is investigating the incident in Leicester and has now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to talk to.

He said: “As part of our enquiries, we would like to identify this man.

“I would like to ask anyone who knows who is – or the man himself – to get in touch.

“Also, if there is anyone who may have information about the incident but has not as yet spoken to police, please contact us.”

Anyone with information should call Leicestershire Police on 101, quoting 23*93321. Alternatively, report information on the force’s website.
