Six-month-old baby boy died after falling from his mother's bed onto blankets and pillows on floor | The Sun
A SIX-month-old baby boy died after falling from his mother's bed onto blankets and pillows on the floor.
At 14-weeks-old baby Noah Dansie rolled out of the bed and was taken to hospital for a check-up.
His mother Megan said she had turned away for a second, heard a noise, and Noah was on the floor of her bedroom.
She then placed pillows and blankets on the floor next to the side of her bed in case he rolled off again, to prevent him from being hurt.
One night in August 2021 Noah had been taken out of his cot as usual by his mum who bottle-fed him at around 1.30am.
Noah then slept on his mother's bed again and they went to sleep around 2am after the feed finished.
Noah sometimes woke for a second bottle feed between 3am and 4am but did not on that night.
Just before 7am Megan woke to find Noah was not on her bed but found him face down in the pillows and blankets.
Tragically Noah was cold to the touch and paramedics soon declared that he had died.
A post-mortem could not determine how he died but said he had been a fit and well baby.

Police said there were no suspicious circumstances and that there was nothing untoward in the family's home in Plymouth, Devon.
The assistant coroner for Plymouth and south Devon, Louise Wiltshire, recorded an accidental death conclusion.
She said: "This clearly is a very tragic and very sad case. Noah was well cared for by his family who loved him a great deal.
"He fell from the bed while asleep and died as a result of that fall."
