A Thai restaurant has shamed a pair of ‘scruffs’ who enjoyed a £76 meal before fleeing without paying the bill.
In the latest example of so-called ‘dine and dashing’ to hit the UK, Lemongrass on Smithdown Road in Liverpool shared CCTV footage of the pair entering the restaurant at around 6.30pm on Sunday September 10 and asking for a table.
Describing them as ‘very rude’, the restaurant further claims they ‘they had dinner (and) ran away without paying (their) food bill’.
It also shared footage of the pair standing outside smoking around an hour and a half later – before they disappear out of frame, allegedly leaving without settling up.
The man had short hair and was dressed all in black, including a The North Face jacket, while the woman, with dirty blonde hair tied up in a bun, wore a blue top, dark bottoms and dark-coloured trainers.

Lemongrass shared the images and videos on its Facebook page – where locals sympathised with the business and shared the video almost 150 times.
One commenter branded the pair ‘nothing but greedy low life vultures’, while another said they felt ‘ashamed for them’.
‘Eee, embarrassed for them!’ added another follower, while another commented: ‘Absolute scruffs’.
Lemongrass said in a later post that they had reported the matter to the police, sharing the update alongside the video of the pair standing smoking outside.
In the clip, they can be seen looking furtively through the window of the restaurant several times before making their escape.
The restaurant captioned the video: ‘They (were) just looking (for a) chance to run.’
