A great grandmother has recently celebrated her 109th birthday, making her only four years younger than the oldest living person in the UK.
Olive Edwards, a retired teacher who lives in North Yorkshire, is a mother-of-two, grandmother-of-four and great-grandmother-of-six.
Asked what the secret is to her longevity, she replied that it is because she is ‘stubborn’ and has always eaten three meals a day, according to the Metro.
She said she especially likes to eat salmon and asparagus and drinks lots of water.
She also likes to spend her time reading, knitting and sewing.
