Body is found in search for missing 21-year-old farmer who vanished after ‘serious crash’ in Cornwall

A body has been found in the search for a missing 21-year-old farmer who vanished after getting into a ‘serious crash’ in Cornwall. 

Jack Thomas was last seen near Chiverton Cross roundabout early on Sunday morning. 

Police believe he had been travelling in a vehicle that was involved in a ‘serious collision’ and were concerned he had sustained a ‘serious injury’. 

Devon and Cornwall Police said a body was found in the Chiverton area at around 12.55pm yesterday.

They added that the body is yet to be formally identified and Mr Thomas’ family have been informed of the development.

A police spokesperson said: ‘The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner. 

‘Officers would like to thank members of the public for assisting with area searches.’

Mr Thomas has been described by police as a white, 6ft tall male with blonde hair. 

He was last seen wearing a dark jumper and jeans.

An appeal to find Mr Thomas, posted by Tom Eddy on Facebook, has been shared more than 6,000 times since Sunday evening.
