Jabsons Recalls Five Products With Tandoori Flavour For Undeclared Milk

Jabsons Foods Pvt Ltd. is recalling five products having Tandoori flavour citing undeclared milk, a known allergen, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said.

The recall involves Tandoori Roasted Chana (Chick Peas), Tandoori Roasted Peanut, Tandoori KajuCashew Nuts, Tandoori Peanut Spread, and Thai sweet Chilli Roasted Peanut.

The affected products were sold at retail stores in New Jersey, New York, Florida, Texas, Virginia, Los Angeles, Oakland, Chicago as well as the company’s online JABSON store at Amazon.com.

Tandoori Roasted Chana (Chick Peas) comes in Dark Orange colored 4.94oz. Standup pouch kept in CFB tray. The product UPC is 8904067710990.

Tandoori Roasted Peanut comes in pale orange colored 4.94oz. Standup pouch with UPC 8904067709840; Tandoori Kaju- Cashew Nuts in orange colored 3.53oz. Standup pouch with UPC 8904067711577; Thai sweet Chilli Roasted Peanut in Dark red colored 4.94oz. Standup pouch with UPC 8904067709833; and Tandoori Peanut Spread in pet jar 11.28 oz artworks with UPC 8904067712635.

As per the investigation, the problem was caused by an oversight in identifying the milk allergen during receiving the seasoning mix.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk may get serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

However, the company has not received any reports of illnesses related to the recalled products to date.

Consumers who might still have the recalled product are urged to discard and not consume them.
