HTC Blockchain Smartphone Integrates Kyber Network For Decentralized Token Swaps

Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has teamed with digital asset platform Kyber Network to allow its blockchain smartphone users to easily swap between cryptocurrencies in a decentralized manner without leaving the wallet.

HTC rolled out its first blockchain smartphone, called Exodus 1, in October 2018. The smartphone combines “blockchain technology and software necessary to create a smartphone experience fit for a modern user and the new Internet age.” The devices comes with a built-in  private wallet on the blockchain, called Zion Vault, that allows users to perform crypto transactions, view and manage their cryptocurrencies and collectibles, while maintaining ownership of their keys.

Kyber Network said in a blog post that its liquidity protocol, which allows the exchange and conversion of digital assets, has been integrated into its Zion Vault, allowing Exodus 1 users around the world to swap between 60+ major ERC20 tokens, including KNC, BAT, and DAI, directly from the private wallet. This integration removes the need for users to first move tokens to 3rd party exchanges. Token swaps are performed entirely on-chain and can be easily tracked and verified.
